On April 12th, join us for City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire—the official science festival of Los Angeles County!

Southern California's largest celebration of science, making, creativity, invention, and fun will be free and open to the public with hands-on activities, amazing experiences, workshops, lectures and appearances by famous creators and science celebrities! This event reflects the diversity of the greater Los Angeles region and promotes access to science and creativity for all! This event is a combination of City of STEM and Los Angeles Maker Faire. The event will also include content in Spanish.

City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire is a FREE, non-ticketed event. All are welcome.

The event is outdoors and is rain or shine. Please plan accordingly. Most events and exhibitors will be on the grass lawn.

Take the Metro to the Event!

Exit Expo Park/ Vermont and walk 10 min to the park.

The following transit lines have routes that pass near Expo Park/Vermont Metro Station:

Bus: 102, 2, 550, 754, METRO J LINE (SILVER) 910/950

Light Rail: E LINE

You may qualify for a free ride on Metro! Check out Metro Life and GoPass programs to learn more:

  • Get 20 free rides a month. Qualifying LA County residents can enjoy 20 free rides every month on Metro or a discounted pass on another participating transit agency.

Take a rideshare service to expo park! Drop anywhere in the area. 

Pre-paid Parking:

Pre-paid parking is available for $20 for the full day. Please visit this link to select one of three lots where you can park: Flower, McCarthy and Figueroa. Once you select a location, you can obtain GPS instructions by clicking on the “Get Directions” hyperlink.

Please Note:

Flower is accessible from Flower St. and 37th Place but not Figueroa St. or Exposition Blvd.

McCarthy is accessible from McCarthy Way but not Hellman Way.

On-Site Parking:

Limited parking is available in Exposition Park when entering at 550 Exposition Park Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90037 at the corner of Figueroa and 39th Street.

Over 200 Exhibitors!

We will have over 230 different exhibitors from all across Southern California. You will have the opportunity to try your hand at making circuit boards, screen printing, drone piloting, explore mobile museums and even a enjoy our craft pavillon, especially designed for our youngest creators! Discover the science behind creating a low rider, and the STEM required to put on a magic show! You can take a look at who is coming at the link below. But trust us, it’s going to be a good time!
